VAM calculator cycling
Meters of climbing per hour. The W/kg figure here is gravity only.
Worked example
Worked example: 1,200 m/h. VAM. Gravity only: 3.27 W/kg. Change the numbers and the result updates immediately.
How to use it
- Enter the climb's elevation in meters, not the kilometers.
- Enter the time you took.
- The big number is VAM. The W/kg beside it is gravity only.
VAM is the elevation gain divided by hours. The W/kg that follow are gravity only: wind, tires and accelerations are not in the number. For a whole course, use Kyrie.
