Calculators for cycling
Free cycling calculators: climb watts, fat burning zone, FTP, TSS and VAM. No account.
How to use it
- Pick a calculation. You do not need to sign in.
- Example numbers are already filled in: replace them with yours.
- The result updates as you type.
No account: each calculation stays in the browser. A field estimate is not a plan for a GPX file.
- Featured · Cycling climb calculator — How many watts a climb takes, and which of two riders gets there first. Or estimate your watts from a time.
- Featured · Fat burning zone calculator — Find the watts and heart rate where you burn the most fat, and where your two thresholds sit. Starts from your profile; with FTP or CP it is more precise.
- FTP calculator — 95% of your 20-minute average power is the usual field estimate.
- Cycling power zone calculator — Seven bands, from recovery to sprint, as a percent of your FTP.
- Watts per kilo calculator — Power divided by weight. The band is a guide, not a race category.
- TSS calculator for cycling — One hour exactly at threshold is 100 TSS. Start from a power, or from the repeats.
- VAM calculator cycling — Meters of climbing per hour. The W/kg figure here is gravity only.
- Cycling heart rate zone calculator — Threshold heart rate is the better anchor. Max heart rate alone is coarser.
- Bike gear calculator — Meters per pedal stroke and speed from cadence. Circumference is a typical value.
- Cycling gradient calculator — Percent gradient is rise over horizontal run. The computer distance is along the road.
- Cycling speed calculator — From distance and time you get km/h, minutes per kilometer and mph.
- Cycling calorie calculator — Kilojoules are average watts times time. As a coaching shortcut, food calories are about the same numbers.
- Bike power calculator — A steady-speed estimate, with no wind. It is not a course plan: for a GPX, use Kyrie.
- Critical power calculator cycling — Two maximal efforts, between 2 and 20 minutes, for an estimate. It is not a race plan.
- Cycling unit conversions — Kilometers and miles, meters and feet, kilos and pounds, degrees, speed and pace.
- BMI calculator — Kilograms over meters squared. It is a health index: not a race weight, and it does not see muscle.
